Dunrobin Gancanagh Out!

Well unfortunately the trip North to HOY has come to a sudden stop.
Having made it safely all the way to the North Island upon turning the horses out to pasture for a much needed rest, Dunrobin Gancanagh kicked out at the flies (still grumpy at being on a truck for the morning) catching his hind legs in a fence breaking a post and cutting his leg quite badly.
It has not gone deep enough to cause major issues to the leg, however has left a nasty hole in a horrid place for healing/wound management that will put him out for the rest of the season.

It will be slow healing.. Esspecially as we all know how much he detests to the idea of having anything on his legs, but should heal up nicely with no effect to his performance.
At this point I have scratched both horses from the competition as I don't feel it will be in By Hoki's best interest to continue as he also is still recovering from an injury from the float accident.

It is all very much frustrating as they were both going so well and proving that this season was going to be one to rival any of their others.
However both horses are happy and still able to come home with me so I can't really complain.

Some much needed TLC and they will be right back out there!!

Thank you so much for all the help everyone has given me to get this far. It has been a manic few weeks and I will be happy to get back to my own bed for a much needed sleep!!
